Many startup CEOs are unfamiliar with what sort of financial plan is required to raise venture capital, and what kind of financial systems and people are needed to get the finance function off the ground in a way that serves the growth of the company and future investors. 

On Tuesday, June 16, I'm speaking as part of an all-day financial workshop for startup CEOs.  I'll be talking about market analysis and market sizing for tech companies, and how that relates to your business plan.  The event will be held in Software Development (SD) Forum's offices in San Jose.

Elize Ackerman of the Mercury News interviews one of Silicon Valley's best startup company pickers, Michael Moritz of Sequoia Capital, about how he picks companies.  Michael picked Yahoo, Google, PayPal, Flextronics, Flip Video and several others.  Surprising that after all that he's still working, let alone talking with newspaper reporters!
