The PeopleSoft Alumni Network offers former PeopleSoft employees a network to tap into to find new career opportunities. Just this week, we've heard rumors that Oracle and Microsoft are laying off several thousand employees - some of which may include former PeopleSoft employees.
How to respond? First, you'll want to Join PSFTAlum - click on the link on the left to do that. Instructions will guide you through how to join our group on Yahoo Groups, LinkedIn, and our Career Center.
From there, you'll receive job postings from Yahoo and the Career Center, and have visibility 3,100+ to former colleagues on LinkedIn who are now working at hundreds of companies across the U.S. and around the world. You can also post an anonomous resume so recruiters who don't want to send a job posting can find you.
Some cities are hosting local beer bashes and get togethers -- Washington D.C., Chicago and Pleasanton recently completed events, Atlanta has one being planned for the spring -- if none is underway for your city, get together with a comple former alumni and see if there's interest in hosting one. It's easy and a great way to catch up with several people and learn what's happening in your local area quickly.
